The Open Hands Meal

The Open Hands meal is served every Tuesday evening from 7pm-8pm at the Open hands Unit. Anyone who needs a hot meal is very welcome. The following meal is served each week:

• A Hot casserole with rice/baked potato/bread and butter
  (a vegetarian alternative is always available)
• Home made cakes and puddings with custard
• Tea, coffee and cold drinks

The Unit Kitchen has received a 'Smile Safe' rating from Leicester City Council food safety team.

It's nice to know people care. The food is spot on every week. All the volunteers are charming.

I am losing my flat on Thursday and only have a bed. I have just bought a tent and sleeping bag. I haven't eaten properly for seven days. I am worried about my health. This is my first hot meal all week.

• Thursday: Bible Hall, Mere Road, Highfields
• Sunday: Agape (New Walk museum and Bishop St Methodist)

• Tuesday: Open Hands 7.00-8.00pm (hot meal)
• Wednesday: Leicester Market Place 10.00pm (hot rolls/coffee)
• Thursday: The Bridge 6.30-8.30pm (cold meal)
• Friday: Holy Trinity 6.00-7.30pm (hot meal/cold buffet)
