Confidence starts here
‘Emerge’ is a mentoring programme designed to help individuals to improve their self-esteem, confidence and sense of personal identity. The course is led by a professionally trained volunteer leader who is experienced in running therapeutic groups and is supported by a team of volunteer mentors who support participants through the duration of the 6-week programme.
The course tackles topics such as:
- Improving self-esteem
- Managing negative thinking
- Overcoming setbacks
- Dealing with disappointment
- Handling stress
The course runs for 6 weeks as a friendly and informal lunch club and alongside valuable teaching offers participants one-to-one mentor support.
