Food and Toiletry Donations

Our Essentials Hub is open on Tuesday and Thursday mornings for individuals and families in need. We work with referral agencies across the city to make sure those needing our help can access our emergency services and to make sure that every item given finds itself a good home. Thank you for your generosity!

Below are the items that we give out every week, and we are in need of regular donations of these. The items marked urgent, are the ones where we are at risk of running out during the month.

So, please consider whether you would be able to support by donating what you have spare, or whether you can buy us the things that are urgent.

Buy and drop off

• Co-op London Road (donation point next to the front door)
• Sainsbury’s London Road (donation point next to the front door)
• Asda Oadby (donation point at the end of the tills)
• Sainsbury’s Fosse Park (donation point at the end of the tills)
• Co-op Fleckney (donation point next to tills)
• Asda Abbey Lane (donation point at the end of the tills)
• Leicester Wholefoods (Freehold Street, LE1 2LX)

We are also able to accept donations between 1-5pm on Tuesdays and 3-5pm on Thursdays at our Open Hands Compassion Centre (19 Lower Willow Street, Leicester, LE1 2HP). Please ring the doorbell when you arrive.

Buy and have delivered to us

If you’d like to help but don’t have items to donate at home, or simply want to be sure you’re buying exactly what we need, just visit the Give Today website. There, you’ll find a list of our most wanted supplies.

Whether you’re buying one item or one hundred, there’s no minimum order and no delivery charge. Everything is delivered by courier straight to us, and you’ll get a confirmation email once your donation is on its way.
