Our English Classes give people the opportunity to learn a new skill in English language whilst gaining new friendships and confidence.

A variety of classes are offered in order to suit the needs of different skill levels and abilities which caters for over 100 students who currently attend the course. Classes run on an academic year basis, running from September to July. Enrolment for new students takes place at the beginning of every autumn term.

Open Hands gives us chance to adapt to a new country, learn the language and culture. My story started with our lovely teachers’ compassion. I saw how people help and support each of us. First we meet our teacher’s kindness, then every lesson we see how they put so much hard-work in for us. It is not a class, Open Hands built a community which cares, shares, spreads their happiness, and vanishes our fear. I’m also very happy to have class mates from many different cultures. Every lesson I come here to be part of this community to share this beautiful friendship and improve my English. I am very glad to have you and thank you for keeping my motivation for my learning journey and all those nice feelings.” – One of our English class students
