Drop-in Sessions

Access to clothing, toiletries and household items

Coronavirus Response: Our drop-in will be temporarily closed until further notice.

Our drop-in sessions are open every Tuesday and Thursday from 10am-12pm to help to meet people’s most basic and practical of needs. An excellent team of trained volunteers provide the service in which clothing, toiletries and household items are available to guests on receipt of an Open Hands referral form.

Open: Tuesdays and Thursdays between 10am-12pm (last arrival 11.30am)
Location: Open Hands Compassion Centre (23-25 Highfield Street, Leicester, LE2 1AB – corner of Highfield St & Upper Tichborne St)

If you need help, or you know an individual or family who are in genuine need, a referral can be made by someone who knows you/the individual in need on a professional basis (such as a support worker, housing officer, child’s school teacher or doctor).

To refer an individual in need, please email us to request a referral form at: admin@openhandsleicester.org.uk. Please then complete the form on behalf of the individual, complete and sign all sections of the form and then pass the physical form onto the individual to bring to us, along with a form of identification, to one of our morning sessions.

A referral form will allow an individual to access our services for 6 months whilst they are still in need. If an individual’s details or situation changes during this period we kindly ask that a new referral form is completed to enable us to update our database appropriately.

Please note that as all that we give is donated to us we cannot guarantee that all requested items will be available.
