Here at Open Hands we love that we have the opportunity to partner with many churches around Leicestershire! Your support enables us to share the love of Jesus with families and individuals in need in our community through our work and conversations. Together every year we impact the lives of 1000’s of people around Leicester – thank you for all that you do!

PRAY

We praise God for His continued and faithful provision for Open Hands – He is always good!

We would love for you to join us in prayer from your homes/workplace during our opening times (listed below). Please pray for our teams and our guests, that everyone who we meet would feel welcome, have open hearts to hear and respond to the gospel, and find all that they need when they visit.

• Mondays 10am – 12pm: English Classes, Furniture Deliveries and Collections
• Tuesdays 10am-12pm: Food Store, Emergency Clothing/Bedding, English Classes, Furniture Appointments
• Tuesdays 7pm – 8pm: Pie Night
• Wednesdays 10am-12pm: Food Store and English Classes, Furniture Deliveries
• Thursdays 10am-12pm: Food Store, Emergency Clothing/Bedding, English Classes, Furniture Appointments
• Fridays 10am-12pm: English Classes, Furniture Deliveries and Collections

Throughout the week we are also joined by many volunteers outside of these hours who spend time sorting donations, restocking our shelves and maintaining our computer records.

VOLUNTEER

We are so blessed by the amazing team of volunteers who support our work at Open Hands, and we’re always looking for more people to get involved! There are lots of different areas that you can support, whether you have a couple of hours a week, a day or a year to give, you would be very welcome to consider joining our team.

Each week we give away hundreds of food, toiletry, clothing, bedding, furniture and household items to individuals and families referred for help – the majority of these items donated to Open Hands from people around Leicester! GIVE

Every penny donated is invested directly into the work of Open Hands in order to help those most in need. There are a number of different ways that you can financially support this work and help us to keep our lights on and doors open, all equally valued. For example:

• Making a one time donation
• Leaving Open Hands a gift in your will
• Setting up a monthly donation online or through your bank
• Donating as you shop (at no extra cost to you!)

FUNDRAISE

Over the last 10 years there have been many different creative ways that people have fundraised for us – from jam making, afternoon teas, cycle rides, and mountain climbing, the possibilities are endless! Your fundraising will not only support Open Hands financially, but as you share with your family and friends you will also raise our profile, inviting other people to engage with our work.
